Table Companion is built to be read at a glance in a dim room—and to work for everyone at the table.

Our commitments

• No information is carried by motion or colour alone—every coloured state also has a label, an icon, or a number.
• The home page is one lit scene you scroll through like time passing at the table, and it is also an ordinary document: four main headings in reading order, and every phone screen a real capture of the app with a description. The three player views are shown together, with a short, one-time entrance; their titles and descriptions stay readable. With reduced motion the moments are simple cuts and the light holds still; without JavaScript the page is a plain column. The system selector uses radio buttons, operable by keyboard and screen reader, and announces changes in words. “Pause ambience” stops the light, the entrance animation and the system screens that turn on their own.
• Text scales with your system settings, and layouts reflow rather than clip.
• Controls are reachable and operable by keyboard and assistive technology, with a visible focus outline.
